Copper River Census Area

Registration is OPEN for the 32^nd Annual Copper River Delta Shorebird Festival in Cordova, Alaska! This hybrid event will take place both virtually and in person May 5^th–8^th, 2022. This wildlife viewing festival and celebrates the return of shorebirds to the productive Copper River Delta where they stop and refuel during their northbound journey to their breeding grounds.

Like 2021, this year’s festival will be a combination of in-person and virtual events that can be enjoyed from anywhere in the world. The full event schedule includes guided wildlife and bird tours, art and photography classes, junior birder events, and featured presentations by Mirna Borrego Lazalde, Fernando Angulo Pratolongo, and Ana Agreda.
