Checklist includes pelagic waters only (beginning 3 miles from shore). Trip out to Clayoquot Canyon. Found one long-liner at the canyon edge with most of the albatross following behind. Shearwaters observed at natural feeding frenzies over the shelf. Marine Mammals seen include: Sea Otters, Northern Fur Seal, Dall's Porpoise, Harbour Porpoise, Humpback Whales, Steller's Sea Lion, California Sea Lion. Sent in band number 1517-19701 of the BFAL photographed below with the yellow band. It HATCHED IN 1998 OR EARLIER and was banded on 03/18/1999 in WHALE-SKATE IS FFS, HONOLULU COUNTY, HAWAII, USA (COORDINATES: LAT: 23.91667; LON: -166.25 )

    A few seen in most shearwater feeding flocks, including some very good views. Darker underwing than SOSH, lacking the flared “butter knife” shape. Bill proportions and steep forehead noted in photographs.
