ARBIRD-L: The Birds of Arkansas Discussion List

ARBIRD-L is a free e-mail discussion list (listserv) that provides a forum for questions, answers, and discussions about Arkansas birds and birding. It allows subscribers a quick and efficient way of reaching a large number of people who are interested in birds. Post your questions, interesting observations, directions to good birding sites, rare birds, etc. Or, if you are shy, just sit back and read the messages as they come in!

Discord is a messaging platform designed for communities to chat and hang out informally online. This server offers different channels focused on specific topics like rare birds, bird identification, casual conversation, and general announcements. It also has local channels that focus on smaller regions within the state to share notable sightings with birders who live nearby.

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission plays an important role in keeping The Natural State true to its name. During the last 100 years, the agency has overseen the protection, conservation and preservation of various species of fish and wildlife in Arkansas. An essential part of ensuring healthy wildlife populations involves people. Agency programs geared toward the public generate awareness of ethical and sound management principles. Whether it be educational programs, fishing and hunting regulations or environmental awareness, working with people is just as important a factor in managing wildlife as any other.

Arkansas Audubon Society

A nonprofit, 100% volunteer-operated organization devoted to the study of conservation and enjoyment of birds.

Audubon Delta

At Audubon, we believe that where birds thrive, people prosper. At Audubon Delta, we focus on birds, their environments, and the people who work to make it safe along the Mississippi River Delta. The recently formed Audubon Delta works across Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds and their habitats. Audubon Delta also promotes, highlights, and advocates for the region’s people, members, and communities who support The Audubon Society’s mission and vision

Northwest Arkansas Audubon Society

The Northwest Arkansas Audubon Society is a registered non-profit organization serving the four-county region of northwest Arkansas — Benton, Carroll, Madison and Washington counties, committed to Preserving the Natural World in Northwest Arkansas through Education, Environmental Study and Habitat Protection.
