House Martins are the first members of the swallow family who come from Africa in spring, although for them it seems that spring starts in… February, since every year the first birds are observed even at the beginning of the traditionally coldest month of the year!

They chose, as always, the best foraging sites after the long journey: the small wetlands (like the Coastal Marsh Vourkari, W Attica).
