Checklist Comments

Boat trip aboard the F/V Nor'easter with Capt. Mike Perkins - departing Kennebunk harbor around 7:30AM and fishing in the waters around Jefferys Ledge throughout the day. Water temp ~56ºF; infinite visibility throughout the day; max depth approx 250ft but not monitored at each location; waves 1-3ft, with wind increasing as the day went on.

Large numbers of whales seen on the trip. Hard to keep track of numbers and didn't note all lists with species but a few Minke (2+), several Humpbacks (6+), and Fins (~4+). Surprising lack of leps given the recent Monarch and Painted Lady movements; Mourning Cloak was the only lep observed.

Heading back to land; motoring WNW.
