    Details

    *Early, continuing; the first whispers of a boreal superirruption that brought evening grosbeaks, purple finches, common redpolls, red crossbills, and thousands of pine siskins, tufted titmouse, and black-capped chickadees into the tri-state area. Around this time, I was seeing photos in fishing groups of RBNH landing on boats far offshore - a sure sign of the mass exodus burgeoning in the north woods. Minimum count, scattered across the pine hill.
