    very rufous, breast streaked . on rocks and bare ground, under Puyasunidentified but thought it was striated (Geocerthia serrana, called Upucerthia in 1975.)

    nest with 2 young, no more than 2 days old. Nest in a clump of bunch grass but built on the ground with side entrance. completely round. hole oriented N -NW. When found at 9 am, nest completely shaded from sun. Rocky slop, bare soil with sparse clumps of grass no more than 5060 cm tall Nest entrance circular, 5 cm diameter, 12 cm deep, deep cup. OUtside structure of bunch grass lined inside with Tinamou feathers and some wool.

    1 collected by Vuilleumier. eye ...brown, pinkish gape, pale pink tongue tip. Altitude 4020. I bunch grass, around 100 m from some Puya. bird sitting on a rock wall. Female not streaked. then 8 perched on Puya.
