   Details

   **extremely rare in county, once know to breed here many decades ago. This is the second verifiable, documented observation in the last thirty or more years. First heard, then seen well for several minutes...a pair cavorting actively in clear light about twenty feet up in the pines. Heavy bill distinctly longer and different from nearby Downy. Both observers very experienced with the species, also see photo. Please do not go here and use playback to call them out. Very rare to see them and if this pair is nesting we do not want to disturb them.
