AMAV visual 2 females either adult and/or immature in winter, non-breeding plumage - forage together near the DUNLs (west side island mudflats - Tapteal Canoe Trail area). Both possibly female by "strongly recurved" bill shape: PYLE, Peter. 2008. ID Guide to NA Birds Part II, page 540, figure 403 A.
Tertials: pale gray on 1 and brown-rufous on 2nd - might be an age indicator
Of particular interest is their unique foraging behavior: a wide bill swipe along the surface of the water and mud - video forthcoming
