Larus sp.
Number observed: 100Details
Circling over the channel near the bridge that leads into the feed lot. Likely all Ring-billed, but I didn't assess them and instead concentrated on the mudflat and stream channel birds.

Details
Estimated by increments of 10 between 10 and 50 up to 500 while scanning through the scope. These birds were on the mudflat and in the stream channel both areas of which usually constitute a full pond, but not today. The water level is so low most of the gulls were standing or foraging as they walked across the mudflat and spread out and in fact, maybe the spot attracts more gulls when the water is mostly drained like today. I spent most of my time scanning through the flock multiple times filtering for both obvious features of larger size, leg color, mantle color, and smudgier necks and subtle features of bill size, shape and color, and eye color, and came up with no other species except for the single Short-billed Gull.
