Details
Adult male generally orange and slate-blue. Slate-blue crown, orange-buffy supercillium, black mask, brighter orange throat and breast than eyebrow; black band across upper breast. Orange wing-bars and wing-spot on slate-blue wings. Perched in a honey locust along the border of my yard and my neighbor's yard to the west, then re-located to a honey locust in their yard, then flew to a hawthorne tree loaded with berries in a second neighbor's front yard across the cul-de-sac at 1954 Arapaho Circle. The fruit-eating birds love this tree and if this bird sticks around, it will probably be because of this tree. Observed at about 12:30. I notified my neighbors of their special visitor and they're bird-friendly people, so perhaps I'll get news of this bird again.
