Wind 5NE, 80F, big blue sky at start and 7SE and 75F to end. Too much blue sky for finding raptors but had a crazy hot spot come through in last two hours that was fun and probably extended due to the sprinklers drawing lots of bathing birds in my overgrown bushes. Didn't mean to keep such an extended list but everytime I tried to add notes more would happen. Hot spot started off by three birds flying in to snag tops that were all similar. One I finally scoped and saw a female scarlet tanager. The other mayhave been one too. Tbe bird that originally drew my attention was almost certainly a Western Tanager male. It landed on top, I got a quick look at a pretty unmistakeable bird, it was flushed and I could not refind afyer I got my scope on the birds.
