Identification

POWERED BY MERLIN

Small Australian robin of rainforests on Cape York Peninsula. Olive brown above, pale below, with whitish throat, grayish breast, and yellowish lower belly. Orange-yellow legs and yellow lower mandible are striking. Lacks white in wings and tail. Compare Lemon-bellied Flycatcher, which has dark bill and legs. Forages in the canopy of rainforest, fluttering around in true flycatcher style. Gives a variety of tuneful whistled calls.
