Identification
Small, drab flycatcher of light woodland and scrub. Useful ID features include its round crown (lacking a crest), long eyestripe, and buff wingbars. Ranges from Costa Rica through much of South America. Typical song is a buzzy trill that first rises and then falls abruptly at the end.
