PROPORCIONADO POR MERLIN

A small stonechat-like bird with a relatively long, slim bill. Male has blackish upperparts, a dark face, a white chin, and a whitish, contrasting eyebrow. Breeding males are darker and more contrasting overall than nonbreeding males. Females are brownish overall, with pale underparts, a pale eyebrow, and a lightly streaked brown back. Both sexes often forage on the ground, where they perform a strange “puff-and-roll” display, which involves puffing out the chest and moving from side-to-side. Rare, found in dry, arid scrubland.
