Extremely local brushfinch that is essentially unknown in life, only being found in the remote northern Cordillera Vilcabamba. Similar to Tricolored Brushfinch, but underparts notably more greenish-tinged, and apparently found at higher elevations than that species. No other similar species in range. Behavior and voice unknown.
