A small songbird with modestly long tail and slim, short bill. Rich dark gray above, pale below, with black mask and chin, rich rufous-orange throat and upper breast, and white tail corners. Subspecies in Cape York more extensively white below. Active forager in lower story of wetter forests and mangroves.
