Tanımlama
Uncommon from extreme eastern Panama to northwest Ecuador. Typical gnatcatcher shape: small and long-tailed. Male looks like it has been dipped head-first in soot, save for the contrasting white eye arcs and white belly. Female somewhat more similar to Tropical Gnatcatcher but note darker grayish head and breast with whitish cheek and narrow white eyebrow. Occurs locally in lowland forest, usually in the canopy. Singles or pairs often join mixed-species flocks.
