Lives only on Coiba Island off the Pacific coast of Panama, where identification should not be an issue. Look for rusty upperparts and tail, buffy underparts, and pale buffy eyebrow. Occurs in wooded areas with dense vine tangles and thickets, often in pairs. Listen for excited sputtering chatters.

Escapee: Exotic species known or suspected to be escaped or released, including those that have bred but don't yet fulfill the criteria for Provisional. Escapee exotics do not count in official eBird totals.
