Long-tailed lorikeet, mostly green but with red bars across the breast. The dark blue hood and yellow back of the head are striking. Found only on the island of Biak, in remnant forest patches, as well as along forest edge, and in gardens, scrub, and coconut plantations. Unique within its small range. When perched gives a series of chattering notes, and when flying, sharp screeching squeals betray its presence.
