Abanico de Malaita Rhipidura malaitae

Mostly dark rufous with a long, often fanned tail. Outer edge of wings dark black. Chest paler tawny. Found in montane forest above about 900 meters of elevation. Uniform rufous plumage distinctive and diagnostic. Voice mostly unknown, but soft “tseep” calls reported.
