FORNECIDA POR MERLIN

A relatively large white-eye confined to Seram. Most conspicuous identification features are the complete gray hood, the white forehead, and the bright white eye-ring. Underparts dirty white, lightly washed with yellow on the base of the undertail. Small groups frequent the canopy of forests in the foothills and particularly in the mountains. Differs from Lemon-bellied and Warbling White-eyes in the lack of a yellow belly or throat. Separated from Seram White-eye by the white forehead. Calls are a combination of often-repeated soft “choy-choy-choy” notes and “tri-tri-tri” calls.
