Identification

POWERED BY MERLIN

A very small, gregarious parrot that prefers open habitats where it feeds on fruits, flowers, and seeds. No other Caribbean species shares this species’ tiny size, brilliant lime-green plumage, and short pointed tail. Most often seen flying in small tight flocks that frequently tilt and make abrupt turns. Usually first detected by its calls, which are a combination of shrill chatterings, squeaks, twitters.
