A rather dull yellowish warbler, more suffused with olive than other members of its genus. The yellow is brightest on the throat and eyebrow. Compare with Black-crested Warbler, which has a bolder yellow eyebrow and a black crown. Found in the Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia, from around 2,300-3,400m. Fairly common. Pairs forage in the lower levels of forest and edge, often among mixed-species flocks.
