Tejedor Canela Ploceus badius

A large, heavy-billed weaver in which breeding males have an unusual color scheme: mostly chestnut, with a black head and a yellow belly and wing. Non-breeding males and females are drab, with whitish underparts and a buff wash on the breast and flanks. A nomadic species of dry savanna which returns seasonally to nest in areas along rivers. Non-breeding male and female are difficult to separate from those plumages of Northern Masked-Weaver. Breeding female is yellower than female Northern Masked-Weaver.
