Identification

ALIMENTÉ PAR MERLIN

A shy partridge of tropical lowland rainforest. Brown with buff speckled upperparts, dark barring on the chest and sides, orange-brown belly, rusty bib, black speckled collar, and white, finely speckled throat. Uncommon and declining throughout its range. Forages in small flocks on the forest floor. Found at lower altitudes than other partridges in range and distinguished by its yellow legs and pale orange ear patch. Song, often given as a duet, consists of loud, tremulous whistles.
