Manakin céruléen Lepidothrix coeruleocapilla

Small manakin of humid montane forest. Male is black with a sky blue cap and rump; females are green, brighter than other female manakins in the same elevational range. Found low in shrubby vegetation, rarely associating with other species. The male’s song is a froggy “pur-keep?”
