FORNECIDA POR MERLIN

Dark brown gamebird, endemic to the mountain forests (800-1800 meters) of Sumatra. Elongate-bodied, with a small head and a long, black-striped tail. Males average larger than females, and have glossy purple patches on the tail-tips. Reclusive; forages quietly in dense undergrowth, typically singly. Gives throaty, wet-sounding “gerrr, gerrr, gerrr!”, as well as harsh dry screams and resonant clucks.
