Identification
A relatively thick-bodied, long-tailed warbler, prone to creeping like a mouse low in vegetation. Dark brown above. Body and face paler orange-rusty with a dark rusty patch running below the eye to the ear. Legs dark. Inhabits undergrowth with bamboo on karst limestone above 1500 meters of elevation. Very similar to Rusty Thicketbird, but overall darker, with larger dark face patch and dark legs. Voice little known, but single harsh “chack” notes reported.
