Announcing eBird Missouri

Female Eastern Bluebird

Female Eastern Bluebird

We are very excited to announce the release of the new eBird Missouri portal. Since 2004 the Missouri Department of Conservation and The Audubon Society of Missouri have worked together to manage our Missouri-born, online, data-entry site we named CACHE/SPARKS. We are all sad to let our Show-Me State online data entry site cease to accept new data, but we are very excited to join our efforts with the Cornell University Laboratory of Ornithology’s eBird.org and open Missouri’s great birding opportunities to the world. Over the last 12 years all data from CACHE/SPARKS has been transferred to eBird several times a year. We are excited to partner with the Cornell University Laboratory of Ornithology to make the eBird Missouri portal, and especially the Blog, a place for our partners to join us in sharing bird sightings, organized birding events, bird conservation activities, and bird data for both science and nature enjoyment. Welcome to eBird Missouri.
