Adult eastbound with flock of Bonaparte's Gulls at 9:30 a.m. Good look in scope at about 200 metres offshore. Distinctive wing pattern with entirely dark grey underwings and white wingtips. Plain pale grey upperwings and mantle and overall size a touch smaller (nice comparison next to Bonaparte's Gulls). This bird would be hard to relocate but serves as a reminder that we should carefully scrutinize the large numbers of Bonaparte's Gulls currently along the waterfront.
