Details
This was a genuine surprise for summer at the refuge. Heard first, where I thought for certain I was going to see a mimic making the vocalization, but sure enough, it was an actual Eastern Phoebe. Photographed & audio recorded from the Dune Trail boardwalk. Audible at 2, 5, 12 & 14 seconds into the recording.

Details
Photographed in flight, will post. Medium sized wader with brown and white streaking on underside, all brown above with yellow legs. Distinct profile, more robust than a female Least Bittern. On west dike 100 yards southwest of gate, where it flushed from the impoundment side, then flew over the dike, right across the sun, and landed in the phragmites on the bay side of the dike. First time I've seen one at the refuge during the summer, but most likely the same individual that has been reported several times this month, first by Conor Farrell (31 May), and later by Elena Bersani (7 Jun), George Burruss (8 Jun), & Chris Farabaugh (14 Jun), though this is the first time it has been photographed.
