Thanks to my cat, Ollie, for alerting me to something he found fascinating outside the window, I found a gorgeous Yellow-throated Warbler perched up on an azalea tip shining like a glittering jewel on a frozen morning! I watched it gleaning bugs from the shrubs for a few moments and went to get a camera. Thanx to Rexanne B for help in confirming the ID!

    Details

Found foraging in the azaleas and gleaning bugs from the sides of the house, watched for about five minutes until it flew up into the tall pines above. Due to the sun shining into the window it was tough to get a picture but when it perched for a moment on an ancient "wire holder gizmo" sticking out of the corner of the window frame I was able to get a decent ID shot. I wasn't able to relocate the bird when I finally got outside but a Cooper's Hawk had flown through the back yard and by then I was very late for a meeting and out for the rest of the morning.
