Checklist Comments

With Mike Lepage and Bryan Wyatt. Clear, 13 Celcius, strong northeast wind. This is a list of birds viewed from the marsh edge at the north end of the lake, at the location of the old county line - birds are on the Dufferin side. Am submitting as a partial list as it wasn't a complete list of the birds at this location, just the Dufferin portion.

    Details

    About same size as Herring Gull (seen next to Ring-billed Gull), had aspects of both first and second winter-type plumage. Whitish/creamy with mid-brown tertials and primaries fringed with whitish. Bill pink base and dark tip. In flight, brown band across distal portion of tail, base of tail white.
