    Details

    I'm familiar with meadowlarks as they are common in some seasons in the hills east of my home in Lodi. The size of this flock surprised me. They flew up. They got that distinctive flash of the wings, flew across into the pasture on the other side of bald Hill road, and when they dropped, as usual, they disappear completely and I couldn't get a photo of them. I did see enough individuals where they're brilliant. Yellow throat and facial markings to be sure
