This wayward individual was located in a water treatment pond hanging out with and seemingly following a pair of Northern Shovelers. It is black and white so appeared to be a non-breeding adult or immature. Another birder reported it as a Red Phalarope, but I didn’t know what to look for and the photos are just a little too distant to make it out.
