Identification
Distinctive small bird with extremely wide flat bill, best noted from below. Underparts bright yellow, upperparts olive in females, black in males, with stark white wingbars, white throat, and yellowish eyebrow. Long, rounded tail often cocked up. Juvenile lacks white throat patch and has stubby tail. Found in rainforest habitats, where it tends to forage in the canopy.
