Cave Swallows and Say’s Phoebe Featured in the Fall 2012 issue of New Hampshire Bird Records

Cave Swallows began appearing in New Hampshire in 2003 and have been seen each fall since then. You can learn about this phenomenon and when to look for them in the Fall 2012 issue New Hampshire Bird Records – it’s now on the nhbirdrecords.com website with the free article on Cave Swallows by Zeke Cornell.

The issue features the first sighting of Say’s Phoebe in New Hampshire, and an article on birding the fields in East Conway, NH. There are also shorebird highlights from a drawdown at Powdermill Pond by Eric Masterson, the annual fall raptor report, the travels of a young Osprey with a satellite transmitter, Leslie Bergum’s story of a late hummingbird in her backyard, Field Notes and other significant observations from Fall 2012 as well as the regular bird summaries and highlights from the season. See the Contents at the link above for a list of all the articles.
