By Kristopher Smith 12 May 2021

Interested in birding and participating in a statewide citizen science program that promotes avian conservation?  Curious to learn more about the NC Bird Atlas and how you can participate in your community?

Space is limited, so register today to discover how you can become part of the NC Bird Atlas team and help map the distribution and abundance of birds from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Outer Banks.  Bird enthusiasts of all experience levels are getting involved in the NC Bird Atlas, and YOU can too.

Join us for our next webinar, NC Bird Atlas: Beginners Guide, as we talk about the importance of a Bird Atlas, the steps for joining our atlasing team, and the resources available to you. We’ll also discuss how to:

    • Set up your eBird account,
    • Select the North Carolina Portal,
    • Complete a checklist, and
    • Record bird breeding codes.

There will be time for Q&A throughout the webinar, so bring your questions.

If you are new to birding, or an experienced birder who wants to contribute to the NC Bird Atlas, this webinar is your first step in contributing your bird observations to map bird distribution and abundance in North Carolina.
