**Flushed birds on the rail walk seen well in flight.

SEEN. Seven stalwart birders stayed behind after the walk to try to catch a glimpse of one of the calling Black Rails across from the Yellow Rail Prairie. All of us successfully saw a Black Rail and both DH and I were able to gain multiple extended (at least as far Black Rails are concerned) views of the bird. One of the most incredible birding experiences of my life.

*Two is a conservative estimate of calling birds from that location. There may very well have been three or more.
