The DVOC trip here. Sunny, 48 to 64 degrees, light north winds. No migration the previous two evenings. We walked areas for passerines first, then made the trek to the low tide cove area.

All the teal were feeding in the low tide cove. In shallow water and on the mud. I read in BNA that they are consuming mainly plant material and seeds.

Just north of the hot corner area. Spotted by Terry. Half of the group got on it before it flew. I saw it in flight. The overall blue plumage was seen well in flight. Distinctive. Smaller bird than a Blue Grosbeak. My FOS - it's actually right on time for me.

Additional species seen by Fred Lambert:
1
House Sparrow
