Solid black bird, bigger than a Mallard, some with orange or yellow at the base of the thin bill. Almost all of them were either perched in trees along the lake or on nest on a small island. Counted 89 on the island, alongside a few GBH. Another 160 were perched in trees on the river. Remainder diving on the water.
