Comments:
Acadia Birding Festival Wonderland birding with Kenn Kaufman, Bill Sheehan and Michael Good. This afternoon field trip took us through several habitat types as we traversed towards the coastline of Wonderland. As soon as we stepped into the woods we had several excellent observations of Magnolia Warbler, Common Yellowthroat and and Black-throated Green Warbler. Golden-crowned Kinglets came right down too us and vocalized for most to hear. Numbers were low for this walk but spirits were high as the sun was shining. We encountered one immature Northern Parula with an aberrant call reminiscent of a Blackbunian. We finally located this bird which responded to a Blackburnian playback but turned out to be a NOPA.
