1:33 PM: 39.863717, -72.753233 (plotted point for checklist, 7 minutes before the BRTE)
~15 knots heading NW back into port, with a following sea (reasonably comfortable ride, though a bit fast for very effective birding).
Species
4 species total
1
Bridled Tern

**Very rare, but not unexpected in deep, warm water well off shore at this time of year. This bird was actually well onto the shelf edge though, and so in shallower, colder water than one would expect. 2nd calendar year bird (immature, hatched in 2013).
Photos.
We passed it as we were going 15 knots, as it slowly foraged fairly low to the water, and it slid down our starboard side for many to see.
