Comments:
This is the Lake Kerkini and surroundings bird list. Birds were observed by 4x4 and by boat on a short lake cruise. I do not have an idea how many kilometres did we covered and 80 is only a very rough guess. Bird numbers are quite inaccurate estimates (except for one or two individuals) and usually an underestimate. Penduline Tits were also present; two new nests spotted, but failed to see the birds themselves. The Black Tern was also seen, but I've dipped it. Guided by Georgos Spiridakis, tour organised by Natural Greece.

Edit - Georgos Spiridakis later wrote to me: “While viewing the list you made for Kerkini I just wanted to say that the numbers of Cormorants, Pygmy Cormorants, Great Crested Grebes, Black-headed Gulls, White Pelicans and some more species are quite underestimated. Especially the Cormorants and Great Crested Grebes, as well as the Pygmy Cormorants.”
