Comments:
Western Mt Road located on the south slope of Western Mt represents an excellent example of an emerging old growth Spruce/Fir forest on MDI. Here we searched for Bay-breasted Warbler and Yellow-bellied Flycatcher. In the process we met a family of 4 Common Raven at the edge of the Cedar bog where YBFL have been found throughout the breeding season. Brown Creeper and Blue-headed Vireo let us hear them but remained elusive. Fog and damp weather gave way to sun towards the end of our trip.
