Comments:
Marvin Waas, an active birder in the 1950s, found and photographed this species at Mullet Key, which became Fort De Soto Park in 1963. Henry Stevenson, who wrote Florida BirdLife, looked at the Kodachrome slide of the bird and agreed with the call, however the slide was later lost.
