With Jerry Smith. Birded the causeway and paved road near gate area. Kristen F., Susan B., and Ed F. also birding for part of time. 43ºF, partly cloudy, wind: 6mph from N. Nice number of migrants flying off island with lots of kinglets. Ninth of October and still able to scrounge up nine species of warbler.

    Comments: First spotted by Kristen. Imm./female type bird with black streaks on white sides; black eyeline to rear of eye; white throat; white supercilium; black crown with white center stripe; moving along birch trunk and branches.
