A north wind promised more on the very flooded beach but not a lot early on, with hardly any gulls. However, I saw a lot of gulls on the lake by scope and later these seemed to drift in and when I left there were at least a couple of hundred Ring-bills and several Herring Gulls and a nice immature LBB Gull found by Bob H. A pair of adult Peregrines were marauding the point and beach and an immature was eating a kill (maybe a woodpecker) at the entrance.

Comments: Two adults at the beach and an immature eating a kill in the dead trees at the sanctuary entrance (photos of the immature). The victim appears to be a woodpecker based on the feet, maybe an immature Red-headed Woodpecker as the feet are pale, and the plumage kind of fits, and I saw one in the vicinity earlier. Any additional thoughts welcome - the falcon was very back-lit and so I had to lighten it up a lot to see any detail.
