    Comments: I almost stepped on this adorable Snowy Plover while detouring onto the dry sand to give room to some Willets in the surf. It appeared to have fuchsia dye on the right side of its head and colored bands (pink over light blue on the left leg; yellow over dark blue on the right leg). I reported the bands and dye at https://www.pwrc.usgs.gov/bbl/bblretrv/index.cfm.

    Comments: Suspect it was an immature California Gull, but the warm brown tones looked unusual to me. Want to compare to reference photos at home.

    Comments: At the limits of binocular visibility roughly 2 miles offshore. Identified by flight characteristics and overall dark coloration.
